Pius Schwizer is one of the best Swiss riders in the world. He has won numerous medals for his country, including Team Bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games. He began riding at the age of 4, following in the footsteps of his father, a cavalry officer and head of an equestrian center.
Based in Oensingen, he is considered to be a hard worker and an outstanding competitor by his peers. In 2010, he became World No. 1 for 5 months. Among the horses that have marked his career are Carlina (BB Cavello), with whom he twice made the podiums of World Cup finals, as well as Ulysse X (Nonstop), who was his accomplice when they secured the 2009 team gold medal and who then ended his career with his wife Florence Schwizer-Seydoux. The Swiss rider is an avid runner. Pius Schwizer has already won three elite Swiss Champion titles.
