Marlon Modolo Zanotelli is a Belgium-based Brazilian rider. He started riding at the age of 5 in Sao Luis, Brazil. At the age of 12, his father sold their house to buy a truck and took his son to various competitions in Brazil. He made his European debut riding for Ludo Philippaerts.
After working for many years at Ashford Farm, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli set off on his own in 2016, founding his own stables in Bree, Belgium with his wife Angelica Augustsson-Zanotelli. His wife, with whom he has two children, won a bronze medal riding for Sweden at the European Championships in 2013.
Marlon Modolo Zanotelli can count on the help of his family at their stables. His father, who was an event rider, does the bookkeeping. His mother handles the paperwork. As for his brothers, one is the stable manager and the other, Marcus, takes care of clients and looks for new horses. His fourth brother is the only one who is not active in the horse industry. He runs a restaurant in the same village in Belgium.
In 2019, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli won two gold medals at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru with Sirène de la Motte. He came 5th in the team event at the Worlds in Caen in 2014 with Clouwni.
