Emanuele Gaudiano is an Italian rider and wears his national military uniform when competing. Like many of his compatriots, he has settled abroad. He is currently based near Bonn, Germany. His father was a show jumper. Emanuele Gaudiano made his debut at home in Matera, southern Italy. He then continued his career further north in Italy.

Emanuele Gaudiano won the individual silver medal at the European Junior Championships. He has already competed in one Olympiad in 2016 in Rio and two World Championships in 2014 and 2018. With his faithful mount Admara (Padinus), he won the World Cup Grand Prix at London Olympia in 2015.

He is considered to be one of the fastest riders of the circuit and has won numerous speed events, including the Longines Speed Challenge in Lausanne in 2019. He also won the Nations Cup in Rome in 2018.

As Italy did not obtain an Olympic qualification, however Emanuele Gaudiano managed, through his individual results, to secure his country a ticket to the 2020 Olympics.
