Vivarno de Boisy moves to Switzerland
The 9-year-old Selle Français gelding Vivarno de Boisy (Adrier's Lauterbach x Apache) has joined the stables of the 20-year-old Swiss rider, Mathilde Cruchet, a member of the Swiss team at the 2017 European Championships for Young Riders.
Until now, Vivarno de Boisy was owned by his breeder Gerard Turrettini of Haute Savoie near Lake Geneva. He started his career under the saddle of Jacques Bonnet, who also rode his dam Kedwige de Boisy, as well as his grandsire and granddam. At the age of 7, Vivarno de Boisy joined the stables of Philippe Bernard, with whom he campaigned up through the 1.50 level, with a second place at the 3* Grand Prix in Megève in 2017, and a top ranking in the Grand National de Cluny. We caught up with Nicolas Tayol, son in law of Turrettini, who connected with Swiss dealer Werner Keller for the sale.
"We have very good relations with Werner Keller; through him we sold Queensland Z to Alexandre Fontanelle, and Fanta Light who is now campaigning with Abigail McArdle in the USA. Keller is above all a great professional who has a super eye to match the rider who would be suitable for the horse. We are really very happy that the horse can continue his career with Mathilde Cruchet, who has a lot of natural feeling and is serious about her career. We wish her the best success with Vivarno,” said Nicolas Tayol.
