Vincy du Gue goes to Alexandra Amar
After more than five years under Philippe Rozier's saddle, Vincy du Gue (Adelfos) will now pursue his sporting career alongside Alexandra Amar, who has just acquired him. The Swiss woman confided to us that she had noticed him when he was 6 at the Chantilly CSIYH1*, and adored him at first sight. "For me, there has always been him and then the others. We have always had a trustworthy relationship with Philippe and his faithful owners, Mr. and Mrs. Baillet!" explains his new rider. She also describes her trial with the 12-year-old stallion as a journey: "What a horse! We clicked immediately. I felt like I had known him forever". Already a member of the Swiss Youth Team, Alexandra Amar is aiming for her first rankings at the CSI3* Grand Prix level with him, and thus to be able to join the Swiss Elite Cadre in 2022.
The bay first stepped out at the international level with French rider Laetitia Mailly by participating in the World Championship in Lanaken in 2014, before being ridden by Philippe Rozier. Together, they competed up to the CSI5* level. The duo notably placed second in the six-bar event at the Paris Eiffel Jumping event in 2019, and did it again a few months later in a 1.50m event at the CSI4* in Grimaud.
