At nineteen, Sisley de la Tour Vidal (Ogano Sitte x Calvaro) is drawing a line under his sporting career. The great hope of Pénélope Leprévost with breathtaking performances at 8 years old, he then continued his journey to Grand Prix with a plethora of rankings and fantastic longevity.

Acquired this winter by veterinarian François Dorange, the SBS- and Selle Français-approved stallion joins Xavier Hanneton’s stables where he will be ridden alongside the very popular Chacco White (Chacoon Blue) and Korado de Baudignies (Eldorado vd Zeshoek), 2nd in the 5YO Grand Prix this week in Oliva.

While Sisley himself has competed at the highest level, it can be said that he is the result of magical crossbreeding since his dam produced no less than seven siblings. They have all competed internationally, including Gaudi (former Sire de la Tour Vidal) who dazzled under the saddle of Marcus Ehning before bringing happiness to Paola Amilibia. Thelma de la Tour Vidal then took part in the World Equestrian Games in Tryon under Japanese colors, not to mention Ugo de la Tour Vidal who also competed in Grand Prix at the highest level with the Irish rider Michael Duffy. It should also be noted that the dam of Penelope Leprévost's star mount, Excalibur de la Tour Vidal (Ugano Sitte), is also a sister to all these horses.

"We have been working for several years with François Dorange who regularly entrusts us with horses to showcase. He had good feedback from the way we worked for Chacco White last year and then, after he bought Sisley, he asked whether he could entrust him to us for the breeding season. This is a dream come true because until now we have only offered young stallions. Now thanks to him, we will be able to distribute a performing stallion who has himself performed at a high level. He has a robust strain with an incredible number of own siblings with very good performances and who have participated in major championships. In addition he has produced horses who have already distinguished themselves on the international Grand Prix scene. In addition, this will be the first time he will be available fresh. Until now he has always been available frozen from a young age.

He will arrive at the end of February and will be available to breeders from March 1st alongside Chacco White. We will have the pleasure of him for one more year before he dedicates himself to his sporting career. Our stallion Korado de Baudignies will do his competition season in Oliva with Virginie Thonon before dedicating himself to breeding as well. It is a new experience for us because in six weeks he will do as many rides as our horses usually do in a year but then he’ll have a nice rest period. With Covid-19, he had only trained a few times last year but finally in his first week of competition in his life he came second at the 5YO Grand Prix this week in Oliva. We wanted to save him and not go too fast, and now it's paying off," explained Virginie Guériat.
