Little Magic d’Asschaut is leaving Cyor stables
Through the Cyor stable’s social media, we have learned that Little Magic d'Asschaut (Back Gammon) is leaving Janika Sprunger and Henrik Von Eckermann. The gelding will now continue his sporting career in the United States. "There was not one day he disappointed us but gave us so much joy over all these years. I’m sure he will keep making us proud . He received such a warm welcome at his new home that we’re sure he is in best hands!" wrote Janika Sprunger on Instagram.
The bay gelding made his first international debut with Belgian Rachel Steffen before being noticed by Janika Sprunger at the age of 6. Little Magic d'Asschaut joined the ranks of the Swiss rider with whom he continued his training in 2017. "I fell for him at first sight," she says. In recent years, the pair has won a 1.45m event at the CSI4*-W in Poznan. Their last appearance together was at the CHI Geneva in 2019 where they placed fifth in a 1.50m event. Due to the Swiss rider’s pregnancy, the BWP recently appeared in competition with her husband Henrik Von Eckermann. They won the CSI3* Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera last November.
