Julio Arias becomes self-employed.
After three years in the stables of Belgian dealer Gilbert De Roock, Spaniard Julio Arias Cueva has decided to take the plunge and set up his own business... even if the pair decides to continue working together in the future.
"I had three great years and we part on very good terms. Nevertheless, I think it's time for me to take the plunge and have more time for my own projects. I intend to stay in Belgium even if I don't yet know exactly where I will settle. Currently, I will obviously continue to ride Dirka des Brumes (Cicero Z) who I own, and Best of Adriers (Ogano Sitte) who I co-own with Gilbert. We will obviously buy more horses, but we will take the time to do so," said the Spanish rider who was one of the judges at the Loncin Open this weekend. "It was a very beautiful experience. I had a very good day, saw many good horses... some of which I would be interested in buying," he laughed.
