The Holsteiner Verband approves 7 new stallions
At its traditional January assessment, the Holstein Verband ruled on the fate of the older stallion candidates. Seven of them received their approvals. Among them was the thoroughbred Innenminister xx (Masterstroke xx x Lando xx - pictured in the article), who was born in Warendorf, Germany. He was able to convince the jury to approve him for breeding, showing once again that although everyone is asking for blood, Holstein remains one of the few studbooks that integrates new thoroughbreds into its breeding program.
Only one Holsteiner received his approval, a son of Zangersheide star, Dominator 2000 Z, who was born at Manfred von Allwörden’s: Damocles, who is out of a Cassini I daughter.
Among the five stallions from other studbooks that received their approvals, there was the Dutch stallion Vigaro (Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve x Renville), who made his debut with Roelof Bril and who had his finest moments under the saddle of Gerco Schröder.
The others are much younger and still have everything to prove: C-Khatou-S (2015; Chaman x Toulon), Diamant van Klapscheut Z (2016; Diamant de Sémilly x Cicero Z) who is none other than a son of the international performer Koriana van Klapscheut, and grandson of the star performer Coriana van Klapscheut, Eclips VDL (2016; Etoulon x Lux Z), and the very young Catoki Junior (2018, Catoki x Balou du Rouet).
