Gudrun Patteet welcomes Guinness
Harry Allen sees his top horse leave his stables. Through its social media, Ballywalter Stables announced the sale of Guinness to the Belgian rider Gudrun Patteet and Sea Coast stables. This son of Nabab de Rêve joined the Allen brothers at 5 years old: "Guinness has constantly given his best, for which I will always be thankful. I am delighted to see him continue his career with a top international and hardworking rider like Gudrun Patteet, and I wish him all the best for the future! He truly has everything anyone could wish for in a horse".
Bred by Frank and Patrice Koster, the KWPN stallion was first trained internationally by Bertram Allen, especially on the various Sunshine Tours in Vejer de la Frontera from 2016. Three years later, it was with his younger brother that Guinness got closer to the top level by placing several times. This summer, the duo was part of the Irish showjumping team taking silver at the FEI Young Rider European Championships in Vilamoura before jumping a brilliant double clear at the Nations Cup in Drammen. Last October, Harry Allen and Guinness placed second again in the 4* Grand Prix in Saint-Lô and 5* in Oslo in parallel to the World Cup.
