Great Britain has its team
Great Britain will be able to count on Ben Maher and his fantastic mount Explosion W (Chacco Blue), as well as Scott Brash who achieved his goal of taking Hello Jefferson (former Jerenmias van het Hulstenhof; Cooper vd Heffinck). As a reminder, the Scotsman’s mount was trained by Liège-based Charlotte Philippe, who finally agreed to sell her mount with the hope of seeing her protégé at the Olympic Games... this is now one step closer to happening!
Holly Smith will complete the trio with Denver (Memphis), while the very young Harry Charles will be the team’s fourth man with Romeo (former Champion of Picobello; Contact vd Heffinck).
On the American side, Beezie Madden is withdrawing from the Olympics with Garrant (Warrant). Having not started in the second round of the Nations Cup in Rotterdam, the current best horsewoman in the rankings confirmed that her horse was in good health, but not yet ready for an event of this caliber.
