Forced rest for Peder Fredricson
Sweden's flagship rider and fourth in the world rankings, Peder Fredricson, has injured his right hand and has been banned from riding for several weeks. "He just put his hand down wrong and the tendon broke," said his wife Lisen Bratt Fredricson to the Swedish media, Tidningen Ridsport.
The rider's hand underwent surgery last week and is now in a cast. Peder Fredricson must now rest, in order to regain the use of his hand in two weeks so he can ride again. Almost perfect timing for a return to competition... should the equine rhinopneumonitis and Covid-19 situation allow it!
