Ensor de Litrange LXII, newly retired

26 July 2021

After a successful sporting career under Lorenzo de Luca’s saddle, Ensor de Litrange LXII (Nabab de Rêve) is retiring from competition. The news was announced through a video posted on social media this weekend, in which Italian rider Lorenzo de Luca is visiting his former partner in one of Stephan Conter’s fields. He is now living out his retirement with a certain Cornet d'Amour, Daniel Deusser’s former mount, who is also a Stephex stables’ rider. The 17-year-old gelding made his final appearance on the international scene last April, at the CSI5* in 's-Hertogenbosch.

There are a few placings to remember for this bay and de Luca, including their team victory in Rome in 2017. That same year, the pair also won the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Shanghai and Valkenswaard, before making a name for themselves a year later in the CSI5*-W Grand Prix in Lyon by securing second place.
