End of a career for Quickly de Kreisker

21 December 2020

The Selle Français stallion Quickly de Kreisker (Diamant de Sémilly x Laudanum xx) will now enjoy a well-deserved retirement in the stables of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. A few months ago, we were still hoping for a return from the iconic bay who carried the Moroccan colors to dizzying heights, but it wasn’t to be. This time, his entourage has indeed decided that it was time for him to turn the page and enjoy a happy retirement. Breeding doesn’t even come into it; Quickly will enjoy his retirement full time!

Born at Guillaume Ansquer's stud, the Breton rider acquired his dam the previous year from Elevage d’Helby, before breeding her to Diamant de Sémilly. Quickly de Kreisker made his international debut under the saddle of Benjamin Robert, with whom he went on to compete him in the 7-year-old World Championship Final. However, it was under the saddle of Abdelkebir Ouaddar that the bay took on another dimension by participating in a World Cup Final (in Lyon), as well as in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, not to mention their 13th individual place during the World Championships in Caen. France often turned out well for the pair who also won the Saut Hermès CSI5* Grand Prix in Paris!
