Cornet 39 goes to Anthony Bourquard

11 February 2020

World No. 1 Steve Guerdat gave his young and promising 24-year-old rider, Anthony Bourquard, a nice gift. He’ll now be able to count on Cornet 39 (Cornet Obolensky), who is 16 years old. Crowned the European Young Riders Champion in 2014, in Arezzo, with Swedish rider Irma Karlsson, he then performed at the Grand Prix level with Lauren Hough, before joining the stables of Stephex and Daniel Deusser, with whom he won the World Cup stage in Oslo.

The young Swiss rider confided to Grand Prix: "If all goes well, I should be riding Cornet this season. Steve wanted me to have an experienced horse in my string. I’m so lucky... and I can’t thank him enough. I really hope that we’ll get along!"
