Comédie de Talma moves to Canada
Having placed fourth at the end of the year at her last Grand Prix in Gorla Minore in the colors of the Guerdat Stables, with Anthony Bourquard at just 8 years old, the Selle Français mare has now crossed the Atlantic where she will be associated with Canadian rider Erynn Ballard. "Comédie is the newest member of our team here in Florida and we are on the right track! I love everything about her; her jump, her blood and her competitiveness. I'm lucky that I get to work with Ilan Ferder and these incredible horses," said the rider. "I jumped two events, one at 1.35m and the other at 1.40m, with her this week. We have five weeks left in Florida and a full summer program awaits us, including the new Major League Show Jumping tour. I leave it up to Ilan to choose which competitions and events the horses do! She already has a very good showjumping record in Europe, so we will continue to develop her and see where we end up."
Comédie de Talma (Kannan x Contender) is from the famous Gerbe d'Or line. She is a sister to the approved stallions Toulouse de Talma and the Holstein Verband stallion Adagio de Talma. Their dam Pépite de Talma is a maternal half-sister to the stallion Opium de Talma and to Alexandra Leederman's faithful partner, Requiem de Talma, who allowed the former European Champion to taste the joys of high level again.
Comédie also devoted herself to breeding at the beginning of her sporting career and among her offspring she can count on Histoire de Talma (Vigo Cécé) who received the best free jumping score at the Selle Français Mare finals at 3 years old in Fontainebleau in 2020, where she finished fourth overall.
