Change of stable for Limestone Grey

15 April 2021

The Stephex stables have announced the sale of Limestone Grey (Try-time) - one of their long-time protégés. After distinguishing himself under the saddle of a good number of their riders, the 15-year-old gray is going to be a schoolmaster for Rik Nauta. This new duo already got to know each other at the beginning of the year during the CSI2* in Opglabbeek. "With the European championships for Juniors on their agenda, his new rider Rik Nauta and Limestone Grey have some big goals to achieve. We wish them all the best together", said Stephex Stables.

After competing in the World Championship for seven-year-olds with Francis Connors, Limestone Grey joined Stephan Conter's teams in 2013. He first performed with Conter’s older daughter, Zoé, as well as the Swedish riders Joanna Ekberg and Petronella Andersson. Then he went on to enjoy his best international moments with Lorenzo de Luca, notably in the CSIO5*, World Cup stages and Global Champions Tour. Together, they shared a series of victories in Mexico, Dublin and Paris at CSI5*. We should also recall their second place in a 1.50m event at the World Cup Final in Omaha in 2017!
