Irishman Bertram Allen announced on his social media accounts the arrival of Castlefield Vegas (Cassino) to reinforce his troops. The eleven-year-old grey has come to Wellington to join his new rider who is currently participating in the Winter Equestrian Festival. The new owners are Ballywalter and Castlefield stables represented by Gerard O'Neill.

Bought at the age of 3 by the Irishman Martin Egan, Castlefield Vegas made his international debut with Philipp Carey before encountering Gerard O'Neill in 2017. The pair competed in the World Young Horse Championships and placed 2nd in a 1.40m event. The following year, the gelding took part in the European Junior Championships in Fontainebleau with Jason Foley. This was a most remarkable championship with three medals in the same weekend! At the same time, Gerard O'Neill continued to ride him most notably at the CSIO3* in Drammen and Uggerhalne in 2019, where he was part of the winning team! A year later, Castlefield Vegas won gold again in the team event at the CSIO3* in Drammen, this time with Jason Foley! The Irish colors seem to bring him luck...
