The Holsteiner Oak Grove's Carlyle (Casall) yesterday appeared under the saddle of Irish rider Daniel Coyle at the CSIO5* in Sopot in the major event of the day. They achieved seventh place with a clear round. His new rider, a member of the Lothlorien stables, indeed confirmed that the bay has joined his string of horses.

Carlyle was started by the German Harm Lade at international events reserved for young horses, and then quickly joined Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. With him he had his first successes, notably by winning a 1.55m event at the World Cup final in Gothenburg in 2019. He then joined the stables of the Dutch multi-medalist, Jeroen Dubbeldam. The pair achieved double zero faults at the CSIO3* Nations Cup in Prague last year before recently competing at the CSIO5* in Rome and St. Gallen.
