Butterfly Flip has passed away
Butterfly Flip (Robin Z x Modern xx) retired in a big way, completing her last course in the World Cup Final in front of her home crowd in Gothenburg in 2008. This mare allowed Malin Baryard-Johnsson to excel at the highest level by winning three team silver medals for Sweden (at the 2001 European Championships, the 2002 World Championships and the 2004 Olympic Games). Together, they competed in five World Cup Finals, and had a third-place finish in Las Vegas in 2003.
The bay has also distinguished herself in the breeding barn, producing Flip's Little Sparrow (Cardento) who has progressed to World Cup level, and also several other internationals including Elle Flip de Muze Z, who is also dam to the BWP-approved stallion, Gin Flip de Muze Z, as well as Flip's Fairytale (Click and Cash), and Vigo's Flip de Muze (Vigo d'Arsouilles) who competes in high level eventing.
At the age of 30, the world has lost a great show jumping mare.
