Norton d’Eole at Keros!
The stallion Selle Français Norton d’Eole (Cento x Jalisco B) retires from sport at 17, after… 13 years spent on the competition tracks under the saddle of Eric Dewulf, the son of his breeder. The couple will have evolved together up to three and four stars Grand Prix, with numerous successes. Son of the now famous Fragance de Chalus, herself international before being the mother of Mylord Carthago, Bamako de Muze, Arc en Ciel de Muze and many others, he can already rely on about twenty products evolving on the international circuit. He’ll now fully devote himself to riding at Keros. “He set up his quarters at Keros one week ago and, although he’s always lived with us, he seems to acclimatize to his new environment. Our father acquired him as an embryo at a time when Fragance de Chalus wasn’t as famous as today, the same way as he acquired Melody, Mylord Carthago’s own sister, the year after. During his career, we have obviously had a lot of solicitations but we have no regrets. Keeping Norton is an assumed choice within our family. He allowed my brother to progress and evolve on very beautiful contests. That’s the very striking thing about Norton: he never disappointed us. Today at 17, it’s time for Norton to move on and for us to turn the sports page. He will have had a career of exemplary length and at Keros, he’ll be allowed to mate as he deserves because they have the necessary logistics allowing to export the semen throughout Europe, what we couldn’t do ourselves”, will explain Guillaume Dewulf, co-owner of the stallion with his brother.
