Vigo d'Arsouilles is gone.
Approved by the SBS Studbook at the age of 3, Vigo d'Arsouilles set out to follow in his Sire, Nabab de Rêve's footsteps, at Philippe Le Jeune's. The latter was quickly impressed by the powerful chestnut who quickly lived up to his rider's expectations, winning an Individual World Champion title as well as being a member of the Bronze Medal winning team in 2010 in Lexington.
He was Belgian Champion in 2008, a La Baule Nations Cups (2008-2012) and Gijon Nations Cup (2010) winner, a participant in three European Championships, one World Championship and the London Olympic Games.
What Vigo d'Arsouilles didn't display in sport, his breeding legacy will continue on, with stars like Dixson (Jan Millar), Vagabond de la Pomme (Pénélope Leprévost), Ego van Orti (Edwina Alexander), Fair Light van't Heike (Alberto Zorzi), Go Easy de Muze (Darragh Kenny), Golden Hawk-aka Figo de Muze (Shane Breen), Irenice Hortan (Cian O'Connor) and many others.
Unfortunately, the story ended yesterday, quite unexpectedly, at the age of 21, with his owner, Joris de Brabander, at Stal de Muze, where he had finally retired after the death of his Sire.
