Vertigo du Désert to be ridden by Luciana Diniz

14 March 2019

Trained by Alice Tréhoust who took him through to Grand Prix, the impressive Vertigo du Désert (Mylord Carthago x Robin II Z) will continue his career under the saddle of Portuguese rider, Luciana Diniz acquiring him on the advice of Britain’s Alexandra Rantet, who had already sold a half share of Airelle Flamingo (Campo Flamingo Z & Nangaye de Kergane), and who is now ridden at CSI***** level by Diniz. The new combination will be competing at the start of s’Hertogenbosh’s CSI***** this weekend, just getting to know each other in small events first.

Luciana Diniz continues to add to her string as she now also rides the BWP stallion Icarus (VDL Douglas x Sioux de Baugy) having their first outing last weekend in Dortmund.

"We realized today that the high-level dream remains, but that, without the financial means, it’s very difficult to get there, and the opportunity to see him develop with Luciana Diniz is beautiful. For me, there is no reason to keep a Formula One car if you want to race go-karts. I will now focus on the development of our young horses, the oldest of which are 7 years old, and I’m hoping to find a horse as good as Vertigo... but first of all, I will do everything I can to ensure that Gaëtan (Decroix, her boyfriend) heals quickly." explained Alice Tréhoust.
