Steve Guerdat keeps the lead
The world ranking podium hasn’t changed, and won’t for a while as the cancellation of competitions continues day after day and there’s nothing predicting a very quick return to normal. Some were able to take advantage of a few more competitions than others, depending on the faster cancellation of some competitions, but in the end, that didn’t change anything at the top of the rankings. As Le Cavalier Romand explains, the FEI and IJRC made the decision not to remove the March 2019 points as many riders have not competed since March 7. It’s a decision that will remain in force until competitions have resumed in the majority of countries. It’s a decision that will be applied in all disciplines as well. The ranking’s will therefore not change in the coming months.
Steve Guerdat keeps the lead ahead of his compatriot Martin Fuchs and Germany's Daniel Deusser. However, Pieter Devos leaps from 6th to 4th place in the world, his best result so far!
The Belgian sits ahead of Ben Maher and Peder Fredricson.
The second change in this Top Ten comes with the return of Scott Brash to 9th position, pushing McLain Ward to 10th and Kent Farrington to 11th.
