Nilane d'Elle joins Kevin Staut.
She will be the first reinforcement of choice for the Normandy rider. The very good Nilane d'Elle (Nippon d'Elle x Quick Star) will part with her trainer and breeder Hubert Pignolet, who took her to the Grand Prix level with a victory in the Grand Prix** of Le Mans. She’s the daughter of two other stud stars, Nippon d’Elle, who competed at the highest level with Bertrand Pignolet and Roger-Yves Bost and who is again available to cover at his breeders, while her mother is none other than Marjolaine d'Elle, who has also toured the international circuit with Bertrand Pignolet.
It’s a decision that was far from obvious just a few weeks ago, when Kevin Staut first visited Haras d’Elle after asking Bertrand Pignolet for a visit to the farm. It was during this visit that the French Olympic medalist gave Hubert Pignolet some advice and tried out the mare. A few weeks later, she joined Kevin Staut's stables to try to reach the highest level. It’s a decision that may seem difficult for Bertrand’s younger brother, who nevertheless remains very realistic: "We had already entrusted Urano de Cartigny to reach the highest level, and he was sold immediately after. We follow the same logic with Nilane. Currently, I feel that the mare does not have good enough results compared to her level. In addition, we have to run the stud farm, and I get to keep Athos d'Elle for competitions."
