New Zealand and China have qualified for the Olympic Games!
Bruce Goodin, Samantha McIntosh and Daniel Meech were accompanied this time by Tom Tarver-Priebe, to represent New Zealand. The Kiwis were on fire and literally flew over the obstacles in the qualifying event held in Valkenswaard.
Nevertheless, it has to be acknowledged that the event’s scores were at times very high... again showing the absurdity of the new Olympic three-rider rule!
In the end, China won second place in the qualifying round for the Tokyo Olympics, 30 points behind New Zealand, but 11 points ahead of their Hong Kong neighbors, leaving the Taiwanese in fourth place, 45 points behind the winners.
