Edocenta is going to José Larocca.
Spotted by Carlos Pinto while she was still in the Schockemoehle breeding stables, Edocenta (Eldorado vh Zeshoek x Cento x Baloubet du Rouet) excelled this summer during the Belgian 7-year-old Championship under the saddle of Frenchman Robinson Maupiler, who has trained her since her arrival in Belgium. She impressed in Gesves, attracting interest, and finally it was the Argentinian rider, and recent Pan-American Games silver medalist, José Maria Larocca, who acquired the bay mare.
"I've seen a lot of horses in my career, but I really think Edocenta is just an exceptional mare. She’s the complete package and I truly think we’ll see her again at the highest championship level. We should also congratulate Robinson who did a great job, because when she went to him, she was still very green, and he took the time to train her properly. It’s a new page for us, but the story isn’t over yet because in the meantime, I had also bought her dam who has given us several embryo transfers," Carlos Pinto of Milestone Farm explained.
Of note, Edocenta's granddam is none other than Wilane (Baloubet du Rouet), who competed to Grand Prix with German rider Markus MERSCHFORMANN and American rider Bliss HEERS.
