02 June 2019

Stephex rider Daniel Deusser won the Hamburg Grand Prix, stage 6 of the Global Champions Tour. Riding the BWP Jasmien vd Bisschop (Larino), he came in ahead of Egypt's Nayel Nassar on Lucifer V (Lord Pezi) and Peder Fredericson, who is making an incredible comeback with his crack H&M All In (Kashmir van't Schuttershof). Only the podium achieved double clear rounds in this Grand Prix which had four jump-offs.

This Sunday in Hamburg, Christian Ahlmann also celebrated the farewell to the track of his star Codex One (Contendro I), who allowed him to win his first Grand Prix of Aachen in 2014, one year after winning the Hamburg Grand Prix. The German had hoped for a return to competition for his star, who has accumulated minor injuries since his last appearance in September 2017, and who will now enjoy a well-deserved retirement at 17.
